Stones Metalshop had this really cool 1956 Nomad on display at GNRS this past week. Original paint, AME GT Sport chassis and LT5 power! What a sleeper! We wouldnΓÇÖt mind borrowing the keys for a few days and taking this one on a toad trip.
Congratulations to Vic LaBantschnig and the talented crew over at @carnock_creations for building this amazing Nomad. Sitting on an AME GT Sport Tri5 chassis and powered by a highly detailed LS, this car won its class at the Detroit Autorama.
Starting 2018 off with a bang! First chassis to be assembled and ship out is a 1956 Chevy Nomad chassis with the AME Multilink IRS and is headed down to Roy Brizio where he and his amazing group will be building this. Can’t wait to see this one done!

Ron Maier’s breathtaking 1957 Chevy Nomad station wagon “Shomad” was crowned Goodguys 2017 Street Rod Headquarters Custom of the Year this afternoon in Pleasanton. A coach built ’57 Nomad by Oregon’s A & M Deluxe Customs. The car has a custom Art Morrison chassis, LS7 Power, and is simply amazing!
