Air Spring Frames

What Your Should Know About “Air Spring Plus” Suspension

Pressure inside the air spring dictates ride height. Dropping pressure from roughly 90 lbs. to 50 lbs. (depending on vehicle weight) will lower vehicle about 4 inches…it takes about 10 seconds. On-board air tank facilitates inflating air spring back to normal ride height…takes about 15 seconds to reinflate the air spring. Special on-board 12-volt air compressor maintains tank pressure. External inlet line with inflation valve can be used to provide auxiliary air for tires, rafts, balls, and many other toys. Pressure in excess of 90 lbs. will serve to slightly alter frequency rate, with minimal effect on ride “stiffness”. Air spring pressure lower than 40 lbs. will significantly alter frequency rate and cause vehicle to bottom out.
